Think Snowmobiles was started in the early 1960s in the garage of Harry Levesque, Sr. The business soon outgrew the garage and moved to a small building in the Crystal Lake section of Ellington. Back then the heart of the business was based on Polaris snowmobiles.

Think Snowmobiles was incorporated in 1968. Owners Harry Levesque, Sr., Frank Grumbach and Joseph Lukeman decided it was time for a new building. They happened to find that building across the street.

With an approval of a Harley-Davidson franchise, Think Snowmobiles, Inc. became TSI Harley-Davidson in 1972.

In 1986 Harry Levesque, Sr. moved the business to 390 Somers Road to a more marketable area. Now the sole owner of TSI, Harry, Sr. purchased the building next door to build a designer store. We quickly outgrew that new store and had to add on a 4,000 sq. ft service department.

Harry Jr. purchased the original 390 Somers Road location in the spring of 2003. We have renovated to add more office space, a used bike showroom and service bays. Over the years, our motorcycle allotment has grown from 75 to 400.

Harry Sr. retired in 2000. Harry Jr., who has been in the business since 1977, took over operations.

In 2001, we were contacted by Harley-Davidson. They wanted to see TSI Harley-Davidson open a Service Retail Outlet. The result was the TSI store in Willimantic, CT.

After a few successful years in Willimantic we were ready to go full line. As of September 15, 2004, TSI Harley-Davidson of Willimantic has officially converted to a full line dealership. This has paved the way for a new building and a new location.

With the official grand opening in Aug 2005, we are now starting on our 4th year at the new Columbia location.

TSI Harley-Davidson and TSI Columbia Harley-Davidson employ over 40 people as of today. We would not be where we are today if it weren't for these hard working dedicated employees.
